Project status and contact¶
Maturity¶
sharedcode 0.1.0 is the first public release, classified as Development Status 4 - Beta. Concretely:
- Tested, within stated limits. Before release, all 182 test files were run, each in its own sandboxed process with no network, against the source tree and again against the installed wheel. Both runs had 3,079 passes, no failures and 25 skips, on Linux with Python 3.12. That run did not cover native Windows, other Python versions, real model providers, GPUs or databases, or live deployments. They may well work, but no release gate checks them yet.
- Not frozen: the layout of
config.json, the agent config files and the Python import surface of thesharedcode_*packages. Expect changes between 0.x releases, and pin the version (sharedcode==0.1.0) for a setup you depend on. - Your data is the stable part. Sessions are append-only JSONL files and the SQLite databases are caches that can be rebuilt from them. That design is deliberate: whatever changes in the code, your history stays readable with nothing more than a text editor.
Nobody outside the project has run it yet. If you run it on hardware or with a provider that has not been tried, you may be the first to find its rough corners. Reports are welcome at the address below.
Where things live¶
All public addresses below are pending: the website, the documentation host, the release, the repository and the mailbox are being set up, and none of them is live at the time of writing.
